The Cape Codder Resort's front desk provided poor service right from check-in, to room assignment, and throughout the stay. I arrived with my wife and two babies at 11 AM and had to wait around until 1 PM to get the room. The front desk repeatedly told us that the policy was 3 PM check-in. I was stressed out while waiting and it felt like the hotel was doing us a favor by getting us a room at 1 PM, which actually should not be that way. Next, the room assignment was next to the construction site. We have to keep the window curtain closed at all time. There was noise throughout the afternoon, from loud nail guns and consistent heavy equipment. Finally, the music entertainment at night was way too loud that we could not stay long because of the dangerous noise level for adults and, especially for children. The hotel did not seem care about any feedback so I am providing this review online. Considering the stress factor (bad service), taking night entertainment off the equation (too loud), and having to drive ten minutes to the beach, this place offers low value for the amount of money they charge. I will not go back to the Cape Codder.
Was okay. I got stuck in traffic and they took that off my time. A little pricey too
This was our second time here. Forget the SPA and wine stuff, that’s all marketing crap. The Wave pool is great for kids and there will be plenty of them. The lifeguards on duty are the typical teenage type. A couple did their job OK but most are more interested in talking with each other rather than keeping the kids in line. We spent 2 ½ hours in the water and did not have any issues this year. Shouldn’t be a problem if you’re accustomed to watching your own kids. We booked a room with two beds, a small refrigerator and a fireplace in the quiet 600 wing. The rooms and halls looked to have been renovated. They were neat and clean, the beds were comfortable, the water was hot enough but the pressure was weak. It probably had a water saver device attached. Don’t book a room facing the inside. They have nightly Bon fires, a movie, and an outside bar which is fun but it can be noisy and smoky. There are plenty of good places to eat and shops to visit in the area so we try something different each time we visit. My expectations are in line with what they are, a family friendly motel in a great area with some cool stuff for kids and adults.
Great experience, lots of activities for families, great for couples only. And yes, they do have NESN.
Excellent family place. They are creative with their kids' activities. We had a problem with a refrigerator that unexpectedly defrosted in our room, causing a bad odor but staff and management was very responsive and accommodating. We would happily come back!
