So I needed the c section because my baby was breech and my amniotic fluid was low so Dr's said that I would need a scheduled c section for 39 weeks. I was absolutely terrified, everyone in these support groups talked about c sections as if I was going to be cripple after for months. But here we are just about a week after surgery and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad. It was uncomfortable for the first 3-4 days but I would not call it pain, more of a tightness of the abs that you get after a heavy work out. I was able to get up and move after only 12 hours. Spinal did not hurt. Recovery was not bad, I'm up and moving around just as I did before hand. And my incision looks so good you wouldnt know it was even there if the steristrips werent there. Hence my glowing recommendation for Dr.Agel if you are to need a c section. I'm feeling just about back to normal and am just on 800mg of Motrin twice daily. I understand that everyone's experience is different, and sometimes recovery can take longer, but I had such a good experience and both me and baby are doing great.

As a nurse I know what a hassle it can be going to an emergency room especially in a big medical center. I have to say I was greatly surprised with Cape Cod hospital. Went to the ER and did not even have time to sit down in the waiting area before taken to triage and then straight back to the treatment room. Being from out of state I figured it would take for ever for registration and info gathering. We were seen by the doctor before the nurse made it in to the room. Treatment rendered and off to the pharmacy with in the hospital and out the door all done in less than less than 45 minutes and on our way to finish vacation. Good care, clean and modern environment of care. Good job to all who treated us
First, I have such good things to say about cape cod hospital and my c section done by Dr. Agel. The doctors, nurses, and anethesiologist really were all amazing. One over night nurse in particular Fran was just above and beyond helpful.
DO NOT GO TO ER at night if you can help it. My daughter had appendicitis and my wife took her by ambulance. My wife has had 2 spine surgeries and a sleep disorder. I just got home and my daughter had call me from ER to tell me Mom can't stand and is crying in pain. I told my daughter to put a nurse on the phone because when my wife has a flair up of her narcolepsy she can not speak well. The nurse got on the phone and said that if she wanted to be seen she would have to go to admission upfront even though she could not walk. I asked for her supervisor she refused to give me his full name. My poor daughter who is a child about to go to surgery was stressed and crying because of this ignorant 20 something nurse. My car was not starting so I walked 6 miles to get there because I felt I had to protect my family from a place you are supposed to get help. There's a lot more that went on. I have never been to a hospital this bad
Very nice hospital. Clean, well staffed with great people and doctors. Took continual and very good care of my mother. One draw back, they lost all her clothes and have not been helpful in resolving this issue. Too bad they displayed this lack of concern. Left a very bad taste with us.
