Food was bad, smelled bad. When I said something I was immediately given the check while the rest of my party were still eating.
I've been eating here for years and I have to say the food is very good and consistent. Atmosphere is really nice. Most of the time the wait is reasonable if there is a wait at all. I would definitely recommend this for anybody looking to have an American Mexican experience. There are non Mexican options on the menu. Prices are very good.
Sam Diego's is a great alternative to all the seafood restaurants in the area. The food is great and the service is friendly. On this visit I tried something different from my usual order. I tried the coconut crusted chicken with Spanish rice and mixed veggies, which I enjoyed very much. The fried ice cream dessert is also very tasty!

Waiter was cool. Drinks and food was good. The Bahama Mama is always a good choice...unless you're driving ;)
This particular dinner was prepared by now chef that prepares his food including the Spanish rice the spicy / hot side. I prefer Adding my own hots if I want It that way... I was sweating as I was eating my dinner. Not the first time this has happened. But I in all fairness have to say it depends on who's cooking. Other experiences, not many, are pleasant
