I have a grade 5 separation in my shoulder. I was told that I needed surgery. It wasn't until after a week of excruciating pain that I was finally told they didn't feel comfortable doing surgery on me for a few reasons and they are going to set me up with physical therapy. I have a neurological issue that requires me to use a cane. My neurologist found it to be completely illogical for them to use that for a reason to not perform surgery as I need full range of motion in my arms. Two weeks now from my initial appointment, I can barely move my arm and they still haven't started physical therapy. I am seeing a shoulder specialist who will be performing surgery at MGH who told me to never return here.
I tried to buy a lift, a very simple lift for an achilles boot that I got from BMC but didnt want to drive all the way back to Boston and they didnt want to help me because I wasnt a patient there!
Dr. Boyle did surgery on my right foot due to lack of cartilage in top joint of my right foot. After putting in a metal plate and screws, I'm pain free. I'm 70 yrs. old and I just returned from skiing in Breckenridge, CO! Thanks to Dr. Boyle.
Dr. Boyle is an exceptional surgeon who is competent and compassionate. My left ankle was broken, dislocated and in bad shape due to a sports injury. I was able to see him within days of the injury and he scheduled my surgery promptly. His team was wonderful and took great care of me. Jeff, Cynthia and Chris were efficient, personable and skilled.!Only five months post surgery, I am walking again and feeling stronger each day. I am truly grateful for Dr. Boyle's expertise and would highly recommend him. I have a month of PT to go and I will be as good as new thanks to Dr. Boyle!
Dr. Boyle is a skilled and caring surgeon, no question. Unfortunately, his staff is overworked and overbooked, and that diminishes his effectiveness. I had total ankle replacement surgery and developed a post-op infection which set back my recovery by months. I wouldn't recommend this practice, either for surgery or PT.
