We really enjoyed the Hotel. It was very comfortable, clean, quiet. The staff was real friendly. When we checked in, an employee spotted us and insisted on carrying our luggage up to our room. The balconies were great too. The location being close to Yarmouth as well as Hyannis provided many options for dining as well as walking distance to the Black Cat. The best feature was the fact we were across the street from the ferry to the islands. Since we spent 5 nights, we ensured ourselves of a nice day on Nantucket.
The one bedroom suite we booked in the new building is very nice and neat. The bathroom with a shower & tub is very spacious, even much larger than the bedroom! But I found out that rooms at the older buildings all have balconies and sitting areas on the hallway. Very nice! The fire pit by the restaurant is very cozy and we met a bunch of happy people over there and had a great time talking & laughing with them. It's right by the harbor, convenient to everywhere. I would have rated it 5 stars if one of the doors to the building would function and a patch of the NEW bathroom ceiling didn't peel off.
Great place, helpful staff, very quiet November to April, great rates and exceptional value at that time. Larger suites in front are very nice. JG
Horrible. Poorly set up for handicapped people. Stairs everywhere. They advertise two pools, but refused to open more than one at a time. Hallways either always had maid carts blocking the way or bags of linens outside my door one day for 5 hours until I had an employee move them. Management rude and not helpful. No luggage carts to wheel luggage from parking lot to handicapped room. We had to drag bags across parking lots and stairs which is fun when you're handicapped. They charge a lot for the rooms, offer little amenities, no breakfast, rude managers. The maid didn't even make the bed right. Who puts the comforter in the bed THEN the sheet on top? Odd. The bonus was the prostitute in the next room with different men in and out (literally). One of the guys was under our window in the parking lot lighting fireworks for a while when we were trying to sleep. Then at 5am each morning, the construction crew was digging up the parking lot outside our room. Do yourself a favor, don't go by the beautiful photos on the website. Find another nicer, less expensive place. Oh and for a bonus, you get to pay to park! $20 a day!!! No breakfast included!!!
PS. I just got an email from this hotel to return at the end of the summer. The photos were from the new building that was under construction when I went at the end of June. Make sure if you book to get in the newer hotel, not the older section. The pictures on the website are deceptive. Also, ask ahead about the so called two pools. Only one is open at a time.
The beds were amazingly soft. The rooms were clean. Felt like the desk people were slightly abrupt...but the stay was nice. There are no elevators and getting to some rooms require a bit of a walk.
