Dr. Yamin was a good doctor. I was pleased with him, and his treatment plan. His staff is terrible. There is poor communication, they are rude, and generally unconcerned with your health, or at least helping you when you need assistance. You will realize very shortly that you are just a file not a person. If you can deal with the staff, he's worth seeing, but if you have a condition which requires support from the staff, just pick someone else.
Dr Yamin is the best. He is extremely bright and knowledgable about his field. He is able to communicate complicated issues well.
I found the staff, the office environment and in particular the doctor to be patient, understanding and of good demeanor and I'm very particular. I'll follow up after my colonoscopy and f/u appts to further detail.
This place is a nightmare. I was referred to see Dr. Yamin because I was having extreme rectal pain. I saw him a couple times and he basically insisted on a colonoscopy after doing a very brief physical exam.
his staff is another story, thats why I gave him two stars. They are rude, condescending and lie to cover their mistakes. Apparently these people are hired by HR at Cape Cod Healthcare. Dr Yamin has absolutely no control over them. I told him they were hurting his practice and he should go elsewhere. He is a wasted talent in that practice.
Six weeks later I emailed him at night to ask him some questions and the next morning he called me, and very thoroughly answered all of my questions. Even my primary care doctor never got back to me that quickly.
Had a colonoscopy from Dr. Yamin. It went well, his staff was efficient and affable. After it was over he explained in detail what he had done and when I would get the lab results.
I had to wait a 1.5 months to get in for a colonoscopy and after the procedure I was in the most pain I had ever been in. I called Dr. Yamin's office the next morning and told them how much pain I was in and they said they couldn't see me for a month. Dr. Yamin's office just doesn't care about his patients. If you can go anywhere else I would strongly recommend it.
